Trans Praha, Vladim\u00edr Starosta Snr, passed away on Wednesday, 1 November 2017 at the age of 76 after a long period of illness.\t\t<\/h4>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6e2e62a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default qodef-elementor-content-no\" data-id=\"6e2e62a\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-7d7a9d6\" data-id=\"7d7a9d6\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-44e66e8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"44e66e8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Vladim\u00edr Starosta devoted his whole life to transport and lorries. He started doing business back in 1968 after the \u201cPrague Spring\u201d, although after the Soviet occupation and the start of so-called \u201cnormalisation\u201d, he had to discontinue his activities until the next political upheaval.<br \/><br \/>Shortly after the end of socialism, he founded O.K. Trans Praha in the Czechoslovakia of that time together with Messrs Daniel Musil, Josef Zderadi\u010dka and V\u00e1clav Zderadi\u010dka.<br \/><br \/>\u201cThat was when our major worries started. Work, work and more work, especially as we wanted to do things honestly and in such a\u00a0way as to enable us to survive the competition,\u201d said Vladim\u00edr Starosta Snr, reminiscing on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of O.K. Trans in June 2015 and he remembered: \u201cMy wife already ordered the first Liaz lorries in my name in December 1989. Then we got together and started out with five vehicles. I\u00a0had that entrepreneurial spirit in me. I\u00a0really enjoyed it. It was a\u00a0wonderful time. I\u00a0was already doing business in transport back in 1968.\u201d<br \/><br \/>The business really got off the ground after 1989: \u201cThings were more open, much more so than at the end of the sixties.\u201d<br \/><br \/>The funeral of Vladim\u00edr Starosta Snr will be held on Thursday, 9 November at 12.15 p.m. in the ceremonial hall of the crematorium in Prague-Motol.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/oktrans.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ak-vsparte.webp\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-11910\" src=\"https:\/\/oktrans.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ak-vsparte-212x300.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.oktrans.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ak-vsparte-212x300.webp 212w, https:\/\/www.oktrans.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/ak-vsparte.webp 644w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 212px) 100vw, 212px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great sadness that company management must announce that one of the founders of O.K.
